A rough year.

A year has passed since we were on our humble tour.

It has not been a year without difficulties and we’ve been struck down by life on so many occations.

The biggest challenge has been the separation between Vincents parents and all that such a situation involve.

School has also been a constant struggle for Vincent, but he shaped up for the very end of the last period of 9th grade. He didn’t really manage to get the grades needed to get into the High School that he wanted to attend, but he’s now in another school where he can finish what he’s lacking from 9th grade while also stydying regular High School classes.

On the upside:

Chrestian got a job just around the time that we set out on our tour last summer. It was only a job as an extra, working by the hour, but he’s still there working and has now been employed full time.

Vincent loves his new school. The teachers are great and the classmates are cool. These are words that we have never heard in a school consensus before, and how wonderful that is!

We didn’t get on a tour this year although it was our plan all along. It simply wasn’t possible with everthing going on around us. What we have done is that Vincent have got a Learners permit and we have been out riding our bikes on short, local trips together this summer. He hasn’t got to the point of getting his licence yet, but it should be within reach by the spring 2020.
